iRobot recently introduced the Roomba Plus 415, 515, and 575 Combo. Beyond upgrades to suction, navigation, and dock functions, the new generation also brings changes that matter to the replacement-parts market.
iRobot’s official listings confirm that several Roomba Plus 415/515/575 accessories are shared across all three models, including the filters, Edge-Sweeping Brushes, Multi-Surface Bristle Brush, and DualClean mop pads. Among them, the new three-prong curved side brush is the most visually distinctive change.
For distributors, service providers, and accessory buyers, these shared components create a new consumables compatibility group.
Roomba Plus 415/515/575 Accessories and Model Differences
The 415 is the entry model. The 515 offers stronger suction, longer runtime, and improved edge coverage. The 575 adds PrecisionVision AI obstacle recognition, enhanced threshold-crossing capability, and more advanced dock functions.

iRobot states that the 415, 515, and 575 deliver 2.8, 3, and 3.5 times the suction power of their respective previous-generation models. However, no absolute Pa or airflow figures have been published, so these claims indicate product positioning rather than providing a direct real-world comparison.
Model numbers and dock configurations may vary by market. Buyers should therefore confirm the complete robot number and physical accessory interface before placing orders.
Why the New Side Brush Is Different
Conventional robot vacuum side brushes normally use two or three relatively straight arms. The new brush fitted to the Roomba Plus 415, 515, and 575 retains three arms but curves them in the direction of rotation.

Three-prong side brushes have been used by Roomba and other robot vacuum brands for many years. Their main advantage is sweeping frequency, as the brush makes three floor contacts during each rotation.
iRobot’s new solution combines the sweeping frequency of three arms with a curved profile intended to improve debris flow and reduce tangling.
The company also continues to use a single-side-brush system instead of the dual brushes found on many other robot vacuums. Two brushes provide wider visible coverage, but the non-wall-facing brush may scatter particles or introduce another tangling point. With effective wall-following navigation, one extendable brush can focus cleaning where it is most useful.
What Compatible Side-Brush Development Requires
Producing a reliable compatible brush involves more than reproducing its appearance.
The center hole, locking position, axial height, and fastening method must match the original interface. Small dimensional errors can cause looseness, installation problems, or abnormal noise.
The three arms must also have consistent weight, curvature, and bristle length. Poor dynamic balance may create vibration and increase the load on the brush motor.
Material flexibility is equally important. The arms must maintain floor contact without becoming too soft to sweep effectively or too rigid for furniture and delicate surfaces. Because the brush extends outward, its operating path must also be verified in both retracted and extended positions.
