What’s Inside a Dreame Thermal Mop Pad? A Practical Guide for Compatible Replacement Parts Buyers

A Dreame Thermal Mop Pad is a newer mop pad category designed for selected Dreame robot vacuum models. For compatible replacement parts buyers, understanding its material structure, heat-retaining function, and compatibility limits is important before sourcing this type of mop pad.

According to Dreame’s English product information, this type of mop pad features a twisted fabric and non-woven fabric composite, phase-change material for constant temperature, a water-locking ring for leak-proof performance, and sponge material for water absorption. The listed compatible models include Matrix10 Series, X60 Max Ultra Complete, X60 Ultra, and L60 Pro Ultra.

How a Dreame Thermal Mop Pad Works

The main difference between a standard rotary mop pad and a thermal mop pad is the internal heat-retaining structure.

In this application, phase-change material is not an electronic component and does not mean the mop pad heats itself. Instead, it works as a passive heat-storage layer. After the mop pad is washed or heated by a compatible dock, the material helps absorb and retain heat. During mopping, the stored heat is gradually released, helping the mop pad stay warm for a period of time.

Its working process can be understood in three steps:

Hot-water washing or dock heating → heat storage in the mop pad → gradual heat release during mopping → cleaning support through warmth, moisture, and rotary friction.

Dreame has not publicly disclosed the exact material formula. Based on this application, the phase-change layer may be a microencapsulated material, a sheet or film-like composite, or particles integrated with sponge or non-woven material. This is an application-based inference, not a confirmed formula.

Internal Structure and Material Design

To better understand this accessory category, techTongBo inspected a compatible replacement thermal mop pad sample and checked its internal construction.

The opened sample appears to use a multi-layer structure rather than a single fabric layer. The visible construction includes an outer wiping fabric, an absorbent inner layer, and a mesh-like functional layer inside the mop pad.

For a thermal mop pad, water control is closely related to heat control. Too little water may reduce stain-softening performance, while too much water may create floor water marks and carry heat away faster. That is why the sponge material and water-locking structure matter. The goal is not simply to make the mop pad wetter, but to keep suitable moisture while helping retain warmth near the floor-contact area.

Cost and Production Complexity

A Dreame Thermal Mop Pad is more complex than a standard rotary mop pad. Compared with a regular mop pad, a compatible replacement thermal mop pad may require heat-retaining functional material, multi-layer bonding, better edge sealing, and additional testing for hot-water washing, drying, bending, and long-term use.

If the internal functional layer is not stable enough, it may crack, delaminate, or lose performance after repeated heating and cleaning cycles. For third-party accessory suppliers, this means size alone is not enough. Thickness, dry weight, wet weight, heat retention, water control, and durability after washing are all important quality checkpoints.

Dreame Thermal Mop Pad Compatibility Notes

Some Dreame rotary mop pads may look similar in shape and size, but this does not always mean they have the same functional compatibility.

Thermal Mop Pad vs Standard Mop Pad Size and Weight Comparison

Dreame standard rotary mop pads have a wider listed compatibility range, including X Series, L Series, Matrix10 Series, D30 Ultra, GoVac 600, GoVac 405, GoVac 510, GoVac 400, GoVac 500, GoVac 800, GoVac 505, GoVac 508, and E30 Ultra. In comparison, the Dreame Thermal Mop Pad is listed for Matrix10 Series, X60 Max Ultra Complete, X60 Ultra, and L60 Pro Ultra.

Key compatibility points:

  1. Physical fit does not equal full compatibility.

A same-size thermal mop pad may fit some standard rotary mop holders if the diameter, hook-and-loop position, center hole, and edge shape are the same. However, installation alone does not guarantee full functional compatibility.

  2. Heat-retaining performance depends on the robot and dock system.

Models with hot-water washing, dock heating, or thermal mopping functions are more likely to support the intended warm-mopping effect. Without a proper heat source, the thermal mop pad may simply work as a thicker and heavier mop pad.

  3. Thickness and weight should be checked carefully.

Besides size, buyers should confirm mop pad thickness and weight, as these may affect mop holder contact, rotary resistance, mop lifting, dock washing clearance, water distribution, and floor water marks.

techTongBo’s Supply and Inspection Approach

As a third-party replacement parts supplier, techTongBo supplies compatible replacement thermal mop pads for selected Dreame robot vacuum models, including Dreame Matrix10 Series, X60 Max Ultra Complete, X60 Ultra, and L60 Pro Ultra. We inspect product structure, material layers, thickness, weight, fitting performance, and cleaning stability to better understand this new accessory category.

Thermal mop pads are not simply thicker mop pads. They are multi-layer functional consumables designed around heat retention, water control, and rotary mopping performance. For distributors, repair centers, and replacement parts buyers, understanding these details can help reduce compatibility risks and support more accurate product selection.
