The unveiling of the Roborock Saros 20 at CES 2026 has sent waves through the smart home industry. As the successor to the highly acclaimed Saros 10R, the new model maintains its signature "ultra-slim" profile while introducing several industry-first technologies. Accessories have also been slightly upgraded.
1. Roborock Saros 20 Performance: The 35,000 Pa Suction Leap
The most striking specification of the Saros 20 is its 35,000 Pa HyperForce® suction.
The Saros 10R was already a leader at 20,000 Pa, but the Saros 20 offers a nearly 75% increase in raw power. This makes the Saros 20 exceptionally better at extracting fine dust from deep-pile carpets and floor gaps where traditional robots struggle.
For filters, the Saros 20 filter is wider and has a higher airflow rating to match the increased suction. As for the dust bag, it is fully compatible.

2. Mobility: AdaptiLift™ 3.0 and the 8.5cm Threshold
One of the biggest pain points in robot vacuums has been high thresholds.
Saros 10R: Capable of crossing 4cm obstacles—impressive for its time.
Saros 20: Features the new AdaptiLift™ 3.0 chassis, a three-arm climbing architecture. It can now navigate "double-step" thresholds, totaling an 8.5cm climbing height. The entire body can lift while cleaning carpets to increase airflow and prevent the main brush from getting bogged down.
For side brushes, the Saros 20 side brush holder construction has been fine-tuned to work with the new AdaptiLift™ 3.0 lift chassis. As for the main brush, it is basically compatible.

3. Hygiene: From Hot Water to 100°C Boiling Water
The maintenance dock has received a "Sterilization Upgrade."
The Saros 20 dock utilizes 100°C boiling water to wash the mop pads, compared to the 60-80°C range of the 10R. This ensures total dissolution of heavy oils and a significantly higher bacteria kill rate, paired with 55°C heated air drying for both the pads and the air ducts.
Both use a double-spin rotating rag. The Velcro specifications and material of the mop pads are basically the same.

The Roborock Saros 20 is more than just a minor iteration; it is a specialized machine designed for homes with complex layouts and high-clearance obstacles.
This model is expected to be launched internationally in the first half of 2026. Let us wait and see whether the actual effect can meet expectations.
